June 1st Opticians Day Celebrated

Students from the Opticianry Program of our Vocational School's Department of Medical Services and Techniques, along with members of the Eye and Vision Health community, participated in the June 1st Opticians Day celebration program organized by the XII. Region Balıkesir Opticians Chamber. Our Opticianry Program lecturers, Lecturer Pınar KURT and  Dr.Taner KALAYCI, accompanied them. As part of the celebration program, a wreath-laying ceremony was held at the Balıkesir Atatürk Monument representing the opticians and members in Balıkesir, followed by a moment of silence and the National Anthem. After the ceremony, XII. Region Balıkesir Opticians Chamber President Yusuf Oray DÖNMEZ, Vice President Meltem Kızıl, and Secretary General Alper Yılmaz shared their experiences in the industry, developments in the sector, and answered questions from our students. They also expressed their openness to collaboration with our vocational school in all areas needed by the sector
