Our Students Attended the International Silmo Istanbul Optical Fair

 

As part of the fair visit organized by our Eye and Vision Health Community, 1st and 2nd-year students of the Medical Services and Techniques Department's Opticianry Program visited the International Silmo Istanbul Optical Fair on November 21, 2024, accompanied by Lecturer Dr. Pınar Kurt.

During the visit, students received information about eyeglass frames, sunglasses, sports glasses, eyeglass cases, optical lenses, contact lenses, optical devices and instruments, and lens cleaning solutions produced with the latest technologies from various companies such as Zeiss, Beta Optik, Zeno Group Optik, Siber Optik, Uğur Optik, Ninoflex Optik, Fuji, Hoya, Benx, Acuvue, and Bausch+Lomb.

As part of the fair tour, students examined Zeiss's cutting-edge device, the Zeiss Visufit 1000, which provides precise measurements, and the Synthesis VR, which measures visual dynamics. Additionally, they attended a seminar on Hoya's MiYOSMART lenses.

By the end of the visit, students gained access to international brands, designs, and collections, while also having the opportunity to explore seasonal trends, industry advancements, and technological innovations—in essence, discovering "Everything About Glasses."
