The Power of Voice in Communication” Seminar Held with Great Interest

As part of the Career Days organized by our Vocational School of Health Services, the seminar titled “The Power of Voice in Communication” was successfully held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., with the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Engin Başer.

The program began with a moment of silence and the recitation of the Turkish National Anthem. The opening remarks were delivered by our Director of the Vocational School of Health Services, Assist. Prof. Dr. Fatma Nur Yılmaz.

During the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Engin Başer shared valuable insights on the importance of voice in the communication process, correct and effective voice use, the impact of emphasis and intonation on message perception, and the role of voice in building self-confidence. Enriched with practical examples in addition to theoretical knowledge, the presentation attracted great interest from the participants.

With the active participation of students, the event addressed the power of voice in making a difference in professional life through concrete examples. Following the question-and-answer session, a certificate of appreciation and a commemorative plaque were presented to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Engin Başer by our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Ebru Kaya Mutlu.

The seminar was also attended by faculty members of the Vocational School of Health Services, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nilay Ildız, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taner Kalaycı, and Lecturer Dr. Büşra İnce, as well as Assist. Prof. Dr. Nergis Kayacan Başer from the Department of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine. The presentation and overall coordination of the program were carried out by Assist. Prof. Dr. Pınar Kurt.

It was emphasized that such events organized within the scope of our Vocational School of Health Services’ Career Days not only strengthen students’ professional competencies but also make significant contributions to their personal development.
