Workplace Training Briefing Held for Opticianry Program Students
A briefing meeting on Workplace Training was held for the students of the Opticianry Program of our Vocational School by Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Pınar KURT, who serves as an academic staff member and advisor to the program.
During the meeting, the scope, implementation procedures, and sectoral expectations of the Workplace Training, which will commence in the Spring Semester of the 2025–2026 academic year, were discussed in detail. In order to ensure that students begin the process consciously and well-prepared, comprehensive information was provided regarding official documentation procedures, attendance requirements, professional ethics, and institutional representation responsibilities.
In addition, practical processes to be carried out in optical establishments were evaluated within the framework of prescription analysis, lens and frame selection, customer communication, and professional conduct principles. It was emphasized that Workplace Training constitutes a critical professional stage, enabling students to transform their theoretical knowledge into practical skills.
Dr. Pınar KURT stated that practical training would strengthen students’ professional competencies and significantly contribute to their post-graduation employment opportunities, and wished all students a successful and productive training period.
